A Nighttime Prayer
Guardians of twilight, watchers of night,
As the sun sets and fades from sight,
I offer thanks for the day now past,
And seek your shelter till dawn is cast.
Hail to Mani, silver and bright,
Who travels the sky and rules the night.
Guide the tides and guard my dreams,
Grant peace and calm in moonlit beams.
Frigg, who weaves fated threads,
Lay tender hands upon my head.
Soothe the weary and hush the mind,
So peace in slumber’s arms I’ll find.
Heimdall, the watcher standing tall,
Who hears each distant whisper’s call,
Guard my home with steadfast might,
And keep me safe throughout the night.
Ancestors and spirits, walking near,
Safeguard my rest and whisper clear.
In dreams, grant wisdom bold and true,
Bestow lessons from the past anew.
Now I close my eyes to sleep,
To drift into the otherworld deep.
Let healing spread and visions grow,
Beneath the starlit sky’s soft glow.
Blessed be this peaceful night,
And all who rest in moonlight bright.
In hush of dark, let spirits soar,
Renewed by dawn to shine once more.
