Jul (Yule)
A midwinter festival celebrating the rebirth of the sun and the victory of light over darkness, traditionally beginning on the full moon after the Winter Solstice and running from mid-December into mid-January.
How it’s observed: A multi-day celebration of feasting, drinking, and gift-giving, with fires or candles lit to symbolize the rebirth of the sun.
